Welcome to Ms. Ramos' class website!

Parents and students,
I have some exciting news for you! Our whole class is going to explore the Amazon Rainforest! We are going to learn so much about the environment, plants, animals, and people who live there. While we are learning all of this interesting information, we will be involved in many class activities and projects for the next few weeks. We are going to have so much fun! By the end of this time, we will all be Amazon Rainforest experts! This website will give you all a better idea of what we'll be doing and will also keep you up to date on all of the neat things we are discovering in class!

Students,
Don't forget to bring a picture(from a magazine or the Internet) of your favorite rainforest animal on May 2. We'll be using them in class!

Meet the Challenge!

Here's our weekly question:
How many layers are there in the Amazon Rainforest?

The first student to answer this question correctly will be able to submit their own question next week.

This week we read A Walk in the Rainforest. What do you think was the most interesting thing XYZ (the ant) came across on his journey?

Write a short paragraph of what interested you the most on his journey. Don't forget to include some reasons why it interested you. We'll share our thoughts during group time on Thursday.
